The Confraternity of Saint Michael the Archangel organizes a long series of summer events in Montorio in Valle, a hamlet of Pozzaglia Sabina. The program includes dinners in the square with local specialties (fried pizzas, fregnacce, arrosticini, polenta, spuntature, sausages, beans with pork rinds), table football, briscola, scopa and ping pong tournaments, and musical evenings with various groups and orchestras. The highlight of the celebrations is scheduled for September 6 with the religious event in honor of Saint Michael the Archangel, which includes a procession, commemoration of the fallen, folk games and a musical evening. The series ends on September 20 with the "Mangialonga" and a lunch in the square.
Initiatives to promote and enhance local products
Velletri (RM)
The Municipality of Velletri promotes initiatives to enhance local typical products and the food and wine excellence of the area, with particular attention to traditional dishes and the wines of the Castelli Romani. The activities will take place in Velletri from August 21 to September 30, 2026. The Administration has started a procedure to select an organizing entity, which will be supported with an extraordinary financial contribution of up to 5,000 euros.
Septemberfest 2026
Borbona (RI)
The "Septemberfest" celebrations committee organizes the annual event in Borbona, with events taking place from August 26 to September 10, 2026. The program includes the occupation of Piazza Concezio Colandrea with a stage and tent structures, the use of the Multipurpose Center and the former Domenico Lopez Elementary School for services and kitchen. On September 6, the traditional "Gioco della Ruzzica" will be held along Via Santa Maria del Monte.
78ª Sagra del Pizzutello di Tivoli

From August 28 to September 5, 2026, Tivoli hosts the 78th edition of the Sagra del Pizzutello, dedicated to the typical local grape variety. The event includes the Archeomercato della Terra with sales of Pizzutello grapes and local products in Piazza Garibaldi and Piazza Plebiscito, workshops for children, tastings, an inaugural conference, and guided tours of the producers' gardens. The new tourist itinerary "La Strada del Pizzutello di Tivoli" is inaugurated, connecting the Acropolis to the Great Waterfall and Via del Colle to the Strada del Tartaro. Also planned are a dance evening with ballroom dancing, a traditional procession with a float and band, and special visits to the Santuario di Ercole Vincitore and Villa Gregoriana.
Sabina Food Experience – Ex Terra, Vita

Sabina Food Experience – Ex Terra, Vita is a project promoting the Lazio agri-food system, funded by ARSIAL and implemented by the Municipality of Poggio Moiano in collaboration with the Pro Loco. The initiative runs from September 1, 2026 to January 6, 2027 and aims to enhance local typical products through food and wine events, show cooking, and tourism promotion activities.

The Municipality of Boville Ernica has received a contribution from A.R.S.I.A.L. for the implementation of the project "PANE OLIO E FANTASIA – XVIII Edizione". The event is dedicated to promoting and enhancing agricultural products and the food and wine heritage of Lazio, with particular attention to local excellences such as Serena wheat bread, chickpea, extra virgin olive oil DOP Colline Pontine and regional wines. Cooking shows, taste workshops, tastings and exhibition spaces are planned.

The project "Orte: percorsi enogastronomici e culturali" is an initiative funded by ARSIAL to enhance local agri-food excellence and promote the territory's food and wine heritage. Carried out in collaboration with Ente Ottava Medievale, Confraternite Riunite di Orte, Associazione Hortae Le Vie, Associazione Lighthouse Languages and Associazione Veramente Orte, the project runs from September 1, 2026 to January 6, 2027. The initiative includes routes promoting typical products and local culinary traditions, with the aim of strengthening the link between culture and gastronomy.
Festival of Traditions and Excellences - 5th edition

The Municipality of Lanuvio organizes the fifth edition of the Festival of Traditions and Excellences, an integrated project to promote and enhance local agricultural products and the wine and food heritage. The festival features a rich program of events between September 2026 and January 2027: educational workshops on fresh pasta (fettuccine and mazzole) for schools, the 9th Festival of the Maza (the ancient ritual focaccia of Giunone Sospita) coinciding with World Wine Tourism Day, guided tastings and masterclasses with AIS sommeliers, and an urban trekking tour among the local wineries.

The Municipality of Canterano organizes the project "Natale dei Sapori di Canterano", an initiative to enhance local food and wine traditions and agricultural products of the area. The event is part of the ARSIAL 2026-2027 Public Notice of the Lazio Region.

The event takes place in Piazza dei Caduti and Via Roma, with traffic and parking restrictions to ensure the safety of participants.
