Religious and patron saints Feast of the Assumption, of the Patron Saint Augustine, of the Madonna del Passo, of the Holy Name of Mary and of the Reposition of the Madonna del Passo

A cycle of religious celebrations that accompanies the community of Agosta throughout the summer and autumn. It begins on August 15 with the solemnity of the Assumption, followed on the 28th by the feast of the patron saint Augustine.
In September, the heart of popular devotion focuses on the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Passo. On September 8, the traditional procession with the image of the Madonna and Child takes place, anticipated on the evening of the 7th by an appointment at 8:00 PM, accompanied by fireworks. On the following Sunday, September 13, on the occasion of the feast of the Holy Name of Mary, the procession is repeated.
The wooden statue remains exposed for the veneration of the faithful until the last Sunday of October, the 25th, when the Reposition of the Madonna del Passo is celebrated with a final solemn procession that brings the image back to the parish church of Madonna della Pace e San Benedetto.
