The Municipality of Ciampino celebrates the Giornata dell'Unità Nazionale e delle Forze Armate on 4 November with a public ceremony commemorating the sacrifice of those who fought and lost their lives in defence of freedom. The programme opens at 10.30 in the council chamber on Via IV Novembre, with the gathering of civil, military and religious authorities and the lining up of the banners of the combatant and armed forces associations. At 10.45 the institutional procession sets off, preceded by the "Francesco Cilea" Concert Band of the City of Ciampino, conducted by Maestro Arnaldo Romano. At 11 at the Monumento ai Caduti di tutte le guerre, in piazza della Pace, a laurel wreath is laid with final honours, followed by a performance by the band. Admission is free and citizens are invited to attend.
