The Parco Giochi Santa Rosa returns to Viterbo with traditional attractions for young and old. The play area, set up at the intersection of Strada Freddano and Via San Paolo, hosts rides and traveling shows throughout the summer. An opportunity for fun for the whole family in the heart of the city.
Giostre in Piazza del Santuario

From Wednesday, August 26 to Sunday, September 20, 2026, Piazza del Santuario (La Quercia) will host an area with rides and attractions for children and families. A temporary funfair to entertain both young and old at the end of summer.
Festa di Santa Rosa 2026

The city of Viterbo celebrates its patron saint Santa Rosa with a rich program of religious, historical and folkloristic events culminating on September 3 with the evocative Transport of the Macchina di Santa Rosa. On September 2, the delivery of the Silver Mace, the Historical Procession and the historical reenactment "La Contesa" take place in Piazza San Lorenzo. On September 3, after the traditional tour of the Seven Churches and the meeting of the authorities with the Facchini at the Teatro dell'Unione, the solemn Transport of the Macchina di Santa Rosa takes place through the streets of the center. During the festival days, the historic center also hosts the Fiera di Santa Rosa (September 1-4) with commercial stalls in public areas, and the Parco Giochi di Santa Rosa (August 21-September 17) with attractions for children and families at the intersection of Strada Freddano and Via San Paolo.
Viterbo Big Festival 2026 – Concerti per Santa Rosa

On the occasion of the Santa Rosa 2026 celebrations, the Municipality of Viterbo organizes the Viterbo Big Festival, three evenings of free concerts at the Parco di Prato Giardino. The program includes: Wednesday, September 2, the live performance of Alex Britti, Thursday, September 3 and Friday, September 4, other nationally renowned artists (to be announced). The event is free admission.
10° CINEMA&TERME
Viterbo (VT)
Summer film festival in its tenth edition, combining cinema and thermal baths. Every Friday evening from September 4 to October 2, 2026, at the Terme dei Papi, a film screening takes place in the thermal area. The event offers the opportunity to access the thermal pools from 8:30 PM, before the screening at 9:30 PM. The single ticket costs 20 euros and includes pool access (17 euros) and the screening (3 euros).
Festa Patronale SS Madonna del Nespolo

From 4 to 6 September 2026, the Patronal Feast in honor of the SS Madonna del Nespolo takes place in Roccalvecce, a hamlet of Viterbo. The event includes the installation of a stage, tables and chairs in Piazza Umberto I, with moments of entertainment and conviviality for the local community and visitors.
Festa Patronale San Venerando e Santo Stefano Martiri

From 4 to 6 September 2026, the Patronal Feast dedicated to Saints Venerando and Stephen Martyrs takes place in Viterbo. The festival will enliven Piazza dell'Unità and Via Campania with stages, inflatables, games and food stalls. On 5 September, a concert by the band "Le Vibrazioni" is scheduled.

On Sunday, September 6, 2026, at 10:30 AM, guided tours will be held at the Museo nazionale etrusco di Rocca Albornoz in Viterbo. The tour leads to the discovery of one of the most significant archaeological collections in Lazio, housed within the medieval fortress that dominates the city. Sarcophagi, ceramics, and funerary objects tell the story of the daily life and beliefs of the Etruscans who inhabited Tuscia. Those who wish can continue with a guided walk to the Macchina di Santa Rosa, the spectacular illuminated structure that each year renews the bond between the city and its patron saint. The route is uphill, so comfortable shoes are recommended. The initiative is part of the Albornoz partnership program.
Kom Cimini - Gara Ciclistica

Il Gruppo Ciclistico Viterbese organizza la gara ciclistica denominata "Kom Cimini" che si svolgerà il 6 settembre 2026. La partenza e l'arrivo della competizione sono previsti in Via Campo Scolastico, dove saranno istituiti divieti di sosta e transito nelle fasi di gara. La manifestazione è aperta al pubblico che potrà assistere lungo il percorso.
47° Festa dell'Uva e Palio delle Botti

Torna a Pianoscarano la 47ª edizione della Festa dell'Uva e Palio delle Botti, organizzata dall'Associazione Festeggiamenti Pianoscarano Carmine Salamaro. Per cinque giorni, dal 9 al 13 settembre, Piazza Scotolatori e Via dei Vecchi si animeranno con gazebo, tavoli e sedie per degustazioni e momenti conviviali. Il tradizionale Palio delle Botti è l'evento clou della manifestazione.
Verdi e Contenti - VIII Edizione

Torna l'ottava edizione della mostra/mercato "Verdi e Contenti", dedicata al mondo del verde e della botanica, con il tema "Piantare alberi per coltivare la speranza". L'evento si svolge il 12 e 13 settembre 2026 presso il Centro Botanico Moutan e vede la partecipazione di vivaisti altamente specializzati provenienti da varie regioni d'Italia. Sono previste attività didattiche per bambini, laboratori e incontri per sensibilizzare il pubblico sulle tematiche green, oltre a installazioni artistiche a tema.
2026/2027 Theatre Season at Teatro dell'Unione
