Mistero Buffo by Dario Fo and Franca Rame
- Shows
Teatro Rossella Falk, Piazza Cavour 16
On Saturday, October 10, 2026, the Teatro Rossella Falk in Tarquinia hosts "Mistero Buffo", the manifesto work by Dario Fo and Franca Rame. On stage is Gianni Pontillo's interpretation, produced by Opera Aps, which revives the ancient art of the giullarata: mimicry, grammelot, onomatopoeic language, and techniques of the Commedia dell'Arte for a theater that speaks directly to the audience, in the best tradition of street theater. The show, under the patronage of the Fo-Rame Foundation, is part of the official events for the centenary of Dario Fo's birth. Alternating comedy, provocation, and moments of reflection, folk tales are reworked into an epic and storytelling narrative, capable of involving spectators in a direct and participatory relationship.
