Opening of the Courtyard of the Medieval Castle of Itri

From July 7 to September 30, 2026, the courtyard of the Medieval Castle of Itri will be open to the public thanks to the volunteers of the Civic Committee "Porta Mamurra". The initiative allows free visits to this important historical site, a symbol of the city, located in the highest part of the historic center (Sant'Angelo). The opening is made possible by an agreement between the Municipality and the Committee, which handles the morning opening and evening closing. Access to the courtyard is free and open to all.
Open every day until September 30, 2026. Free admission. The site is located in the upper historic center (Sant'Angelo).

The program includes religious moments (processions with the silver bust of the Madonna) and evening shows: on 18 July, concert by the Banda Musicale Città di Itri at the Chiesa di Santa Maria Maggiore; on 20 July, concert by 883 Experience at Piazza Incoronazione; on 21 July, lyrical-symphonic concert by the Grande Orchestra di fiati Città di San Giorgio a Liri; on 22 July, concert by PFM Premiata Forneria Marconi at Piazzale Rodari, followed by a fireworks display from the medieval castle.
