Celebrations in Honour of Saints Gratilian and Lucian
Bassano Romano
Bassano Romano celebrates its patron saints Gratilian and Lucian with a programme that combines faith, culture and entertainment. The relics are displayed in the Parish Church and taken to visit the sick, while novenas and rosaries mark the days of preparation. The highlight comes on 11 August with the solemn procession through the streets of the town, accompanied by the band. The evening continues with a theatrical dialogue and a show of luminous fountains in Piazza Umberto I. Among the side events, a painting exhibition at Villa Giustiniani and a book presentation in the Piazzetta Letteraria in Via Gai stand out.

From Saturday 1 to Sunday 9 August: 9:00 am and 6:00 pm Church of San Gratiliano - Holy Rosary, Novena and Holy Mass; 5:00 pm Parish Church - Holy Rosary and Novena. Monday 10 August: 6:30 pm Via Gai - Piazzetta Letteraria: presentation of the book "Le tre ciliegie... e il miracolo di Giulia". Tuesday 11 August: 9:00 am Church of San Gratiliano - Holy Mass; from 8:30 am Villa Giustiniani - painting exhibition "Arte senza età"; 5:45 pm Piazza Umberto I - opening of celebrations with the Band; 6:00 pm Parish Church - Solemn Holy Mass; 9:30 pm Parish Church - Solemn procession and blessing, followed by theatrical dialogue and luminous fountain show. 11, 12 and 13 August: further festive events (concerts, bingo, shows) with free admission.

Il 14 e 15 agosto 2026 Bassano Romano ospita la 19ª edizione del Carnevale Estivo Bassanese, una manifestazione che unisce la tradizione del carnevale all'atmosfera estiva. La sfilata di carri allegorici e gruppi mascherati animerà le principali piazze e vie del centro storico, con partenza alle ore 20:00 del 14 agosto e proseguimento fino alle 03:30 del giorno successivo. L'evento è organizzato dall'Associazione Carnevale di Bassano Romano.
Il Parco delle Creature

Il Parco delle Creature is a contemporary art and nature trail set up in the Accoramboni Gardens of Capranica. The exhibition hosts monumental installations by Cracking Art, made from regenerated and recycled plastic, depicting animals such as elephants, crocodiles, rabbits, swallows and cats. The works establish a dialogue between landscape, nature and artifice, with the aim of raising public awareness on issues of recycling, material regeneration and environmental protection. The trail is freely accessible with a paper and digital map, and guided tours, inaugural events and meetings with artists and experts are planned.
Francigena Live Festival X Edizione

The Francigena Live Festival returns to Capranica for its tenth edition with a detailed program of live performances. From October 1, 2026 to July 31, 2027, music, theater and performances will animate parks, squares and precious corners of the Via Francigena. The initiative is promoted by the Municipality of Capranica with the support of the Lazio Region and aims to enhance the local cultural heritage. The program includes proposals for families, evenings of great music and moments dedicated to theater. Among the spaces involved, the Acquaforte park will host some of the most anticipated events.

The Palazzo Doebbing Museum in Sutri hosts the exhibition "Tuscia Contemporanea – Il Giardino di Gregor", dedicated to the artist Gregor Becker, curated by Antonio Arévalo. The exhibition brings together about thirty works by the artist and is part of the cultural project "Tuscia Contemporanea", first edition, which aims to enhance contemporary art in the province of Viterbo. The exhibition is organized by Bruzziches Brothers srl with the patronage and contribution of the Municipality of Sutri.

As part of the project "Francigena Tappa 42 – Sutri accoglie i pellegrini – II Edizione", three jazz concerts will be held in various evocative locations in Sutri. On July 7 (Piazza del Comune) the Philadelphia Jazz Orchestra will perform; on August 2 (Gardens of the Palazzo Doebbing Museum) Rita Marcotulli with "Autoritratto"; on August 14 (Antico lavatoio) Rosario Giuliani and Luciano Biondini with "Cinema Italia", a tribute to Morricone and Rota.

Il programma prevede tre serate: il 24 luglio 2026, Marco Del Nero in 'La genesi... l'inizio del tutto' (stand up comedy) nella Piazzetta del Casalì; il 29 luglio 2026, Edoardo Leo in 'Ti racconto una storia' (spettacolo teatrale) nell'arena dell'Anfiteatro romano; il 31 luglio 2026, Gianluca Giugliarelli in 'Scusate le spalle' (stand up comedy) sempre nella Piazzetta del Casalì.
